FAQ

What is a Voting Bloc?
A voting bloc is a group of people who vote together in support of a specific issue or common concern.

Why should I consider Joining a voting bloc?
In our current electoral system financial donors have a much greater influence on specific issues than individual voters do.  By joining a voting bloc you are using your vote strategically to shift the balance of power and influence over our government away from donors and back to the voters.

How is a Voting Bloc different from a petition?
A petition lets candidates and elected officials know you are concerned about a specific issue.  A Voting Bloc lets candidates and elected officials know they will face actual consequences at the ballot box for their actions on a specific issue making it harder to ignore.

When I Join a voting bloc what happens?

We will keep you updated about how many people have joined your voting bloc and any news related to the issues you register for.  We encourage you to engage with the voting bloc in a way that you feel is appropriate for you.  Some members wish to remain anonymous and some members actively promote the voting bloc through social media in an effort to grow and strengthen it.  We highly encourage both!

Do you share my information?
No, we only share news and total numbers of voting bloc members not individual member information.

Can I support my voting bloc in other ways?
Yes, we encourage you to take initiative in supporting and promoting your voting bloc.  The way we see it, your voting bloc is an idea and a movement that is not owned by anyone.  If you join it, it is yours as much as it is ours.
