Ban Toxic Toys Voting Bloc - Illinois

Goal:

Unite parents and concerned citizens of Illinois to demand that their state representatives pass HB5705 Child-Safe Chemicals Act.

Why:

Currently there is no law banning toxic materials such as phthalates or BPA from children's products in Illinois.  These substances have been banned in Europe and most recently in California and Washington State.  HB5705  will soon be voted on in the Illinois legislature and is being opposed by industry lobbyists from chemical and toy manufacturers (links).

How:

Join this voting bloc to let your elected representatives know where you stand on the issue and what they need to do in order to earn your vote.  We will keep you informed as to which candidates have earned your vote on this issue.
